The Burlington Barracudas delivered a commanding performance on the road, shutting out the Ottawa 67s by a decisive 5-0 score. From the opening puck drop, Burlington established control, outshooting their hosts 51-16 over the course of the game. The story of the night was the flawless play of Barracudas goaltender Riley Manna, who turned aside all 16 shots she faced to secure a perfect shutout. At the other end of the ice, the Barracudas' relentless offensive pressure proved too much for Ottawa's defense and goaltender Ava Lund-Fouquette, who faced a barrage of 51 shots.
Burlington set the tone early, capitalizing on a power play midway through the first period. Sarah Elson opened the scoring, converting a setup from Madeline Delahunt and Addison Butler. The Barracudas doubled their lead in the second period on another power-play marker, this time from Keelin Song, assisted by Lauren Kruzel. The game took a physical turn in the middle frame, with Burlington's Gabrielle Catalano receiving a checking from behind penalty and a game misconduct, forcing her team to kill a major penalty. Despite this, the Barracudas' penalty kill held firm, and Ottawa's power play, which saw chances from players like Ella Robertson and Ciena Tagapulot taking minors, could not solve Manna.
Any hope of an Ottawa comeback was extinguished in a dominant third period by Burlington, who unleashed 25 shots. Elleh Frigui made it 3-0 early in the frame, with Kruzel and Song picking up assists. The Barracudas then put the game completely out of reach with two late goals from Aubrey Biase. Biase first scored off a feed from Butler and Delahunt, and then completed her brace just over two minutes later, with Delahunt earning her third assist of the night. The 67s, led by captain Avery Ronberg, fought hard and generated more chances in the third, but the combination of Manna's impenetrable netminding and Burlington's overwhelming puck possession sealed a comprehensive 5-0 victory for the visiting Barracudas.
